We enjoyed a Welcome Dinner at the restaurant in our hotel tonight. We were joined by the Principal of our sister-school, Mrs Konagai, and a number of the volunteers who have helped to organize our trip. We discovered that Mrs Konagai's son visited Perth (and probably All Saints' College) twenty years ago as part of the Little Ambassador's Club. He would have been in one of the first groups to visit from Japan. Mrs Konagai is very grateful for the hospitality he was shown in Perth, and is therefore glad to welcome us to Shirogane Primary School this year.
It was a very tired group of students who headed off to bed straight after eating. The first two hit their beds by 6:30pm, and all lights were out by 7:30pm! Let's hope they all get a good night's sleep, so they are ready to meet their host families tomorrow! It really has been a very long day for all of us!
